Treatment that's built around you, not a routine.
Every session starts with your body, your goals, and what's actually going on for you, not a one size fits all script.
Three things I do differently.
Collaborative & customised care
Every remedial massage session is a partnership built around your body's needs. Rather than following a fixed routine, I combine your insight into your own daily movement and discomfort with clinical assessment, so the session responds to what's actually going on for you.
Active listening & patient empowerment
Feeling genuinely heard is the foundation of a session with me. From the initial consult through every stage of hands-on treatment, your feedback, pain thresholds, and comfort are checked and prioritised, so treatment is refined in real time and you stay an active participant in your own care.
Going above & beyond
A session with me extends past basic soft tissue work. Time is spent on thorough assessment, targeted clinical technique, and practical post-treatment care aimed at supporting relief that carries past the clinic door, with a genuine focus on your long-term health and wellbeing.
What a session with me is like.
A session can range from 45 minutes to an hour and a half. That range lets me tailor the approach to what you need within the timeframe, without overwhelming your body or nervous system with too much at once.
-
Understanding what's going on for you
I open with a discussion about your medical history, current pain levels, lifestyle factors, and movement goals, then listen to your primary concerns so we can set clear, targeted objectives together, rather than applying a one size fits all routine.
-
Assessing movement and tension
I run targeted physical assessments, such as range of motion testing and postural observation, to build a picture of tension patterns and areas of restriction, then explain what I've found in plain language so you understand what's contributing and why we're taking the approach we are.
-
Hands-on treatment
I use evidence-based remedial massage technique, including deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and muscle energy technique, matched to what's actually going on for you, with open communication throughout on pressure, comfort, and pain thresholds.
-
Checking progress
I re-assess movement and pain levels after treatment, to track what's improved and what to focus on next time.
-
Home care and next steps
You leave with practical home care, including corrective stretches and ergonomic advice tailored to your lifestyle, plus an ongoing treatment plan or a coordinated referral within the clinic if that's a better fit for what you need.
