How Jack Works | Dr Jack Gatt, Osteopath | West Osteopathy
Dr Jack Gatt · Osteopath

Getting you out of pain, and keeping you out of it.

My approach is about more than relieving pain in the moment. It is about treating what you are feeling now while working out what is actually driving it, so the problem is less likely to come back.

How I work

Three things I focus on with every patient.

01

Hands on care that leads to movement

I use a combination of hands on treatment, exercise and movement based rehabilitation. Hands on therapy is a valuable tool for reducing pain and improving mobility, but it is not the end goal. I use it to help your body move more freely, because lasting change comes from restoring confidence, strength and quality of movement.

02

Looking beyond the painful area

Pain does not always equal damage. Previous injuries, movement patterns, stress, sleep, workload and lifestyle can all influence how pain is experienced. Understanding these influences lets us build a treatment plan around the whole person, not just the part that hurts.

03

A plan built around your goals

Every treatment is tailored to what matters to you, whether that is returning to sport, performing better at work, or moving through everyday life without pain. My goal is to give you the knowledge, movement strategies and confidence to manage your body long after you have left the clinic.

A bit about me

I know what it is like to be sidelined.

I enjoy staying active through sport, strength training, running and spending time outdoors, so I understand how frustrating it is when pain or injury gets in the way of the things you love doing.

Throughout my own sporting journey I have worked through injuries and rehabilitation myself. Everyone's experience is different, but it has given me a genuine appreciation for the physical and mental challenges that come with recovery, and it helps me better support my patients through the process.

Ready when you are

Let's work out what is actually going on.

Come in with what's bothering you, we'll figure out what's driving it together, and build a plan around what you want to get back to.
